THE ROLE OF ITS COMPONENTS
Gamma Complex gel has been created by combining castor oil extract to which 5 essential oils with incomparable properties have been added: these are Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram, Rosemary and Ylang Ylang.
Castor oil extract serves as a conveyor. In fact, one of its many qualities is to penetrate very quickly into the epidermis and sub-cutaneous tissues. Its second particular feature is its ability to bind to almost all the molecules that present themselves and to carry them wherever it penetrates. This is how it takes the essential oils we have chosen to the skin tissues.
However, it possesses other exceptional properties that the scientific work of the last 5 years has highlighted: it accelerates the process of healing, is anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving, fatty acid lysis, anti-fungal and antibactericidal.
The essential oils have been chosen for their complementary properties, but also because they enter into synergy with each other.
Lavender: its essential oil is produced, after a 2-day pre-drying steam treatment, a technique that makes it possible to respect the integrity of the plant. It is thanks to the richness of its active ingredients that it possesses many properties: antiseptic, bactericidal, disinfectant, calming, antispasmodic, carminative and healing thanks to linalyl acetate, linalool, geraniol, pinene, coumarin, and ethyl amyl ketone amongst others.
Citrus limonum or lemon: the essential oil primarily contains two remarkable active principles, limonene and beta-Pinene, but we should remember that the minor components of the plants, which we often neglect, are just as important if not fundamental.
Lemon essential oil has numerous properties: it is astringent, anti-bactericidal, softening, brightens the complexion, is anti-wrinkle and reduces seborrheic problems. It is recommended for treating rashes, herpes and venous stasis.
Rosemary: the essential oil contains large quantities of a phenolic diterpene, rosmarinic, but also triterpenes, tannins and flavonoids.
Its properties: antimicrobial and antibactericidal, stimulates dermal capillary circulation, antispasmodic (muscles), anti-inflammatory, anti-ageing given its anti-oxidant properties it works on the oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the cell membranes of the epidermis. It is used in synergy with marjoram oil.
Marjoram: its essential oil is rich in terpinen-4-ol and gamma-terpinene.
Its properties: calming, analgesic, rebalancing, antispasmodic, relaxing, vasodilator.
Cananga odorata, commonly known as ylang-ylang: its oil contains 4 known active principles, caryophyllene, geranyl acetate, linalool and germacrene D.
Its properties: anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, revitalizing, cell regenerating, balances sebum secretion (highly recommended for treating teenage acne).
